The Lord's Cupboard Needs Snacks & Donations
Times are tough, and every month, more families in our community face financial struggles. Due to the increasing number of families seeking help, our financial resources are being stretched thin. Here's how you can help:
Cash donations are vital because they allow us to purchase food and essential toiletries for our community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a great difference and is very much appreciated. Send cash or checks to Bethesda Lutheran Church (439 Main Street, PO Box 330​, Jewell, IA 50130-0330​) or donate online through our giving page: https://secure.myvanco.com/L-ZA9W/campaign/C-13QS4.
Donate pantry goods and help supply the shelves with non-perishable food items, toiletries, laundry supplies, and anything else that you routinely use at home.
Donate snacks for kids' bags that we'll provide this summer by May 31. A little swimming pool is placed in the Narthex to collect pre-packaged, individual snacks/treats.
More volunteers are needed and we would be very glad to accept your help. The Lord’s Cupboard is open every Monday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., as well as the first Monday of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell.
The next Mobile Pantry will be here Tuesday, June 9.

Vacation Bible Day Camp at Bethesda
Join the quest! Embark on an adventure to discover who God is and see how He has made Himself known. Riverside Bible Camp 2026: To Know His Name will be held at Bethesda June 8 - June 10, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
We are still in need of two host families and a preschool teacher. If you are available, please talk to a Bethesda Board of Education member: Amy Barquist (515-291-8410), Heather Thelen, Ursula Dial, or Pastor Dolan.
