What is the Transfiguration of Jesus?

" To this day, the Church has continued to celebrate this important feast day that shows us as followers of Jesus Christ, that he was truly 100% divine and 100% human. It is often observed on the final Sunday of Epiphany, the Season of Light, helping us to bookend the star’s light indicating Christ’s birth with the divine light that emanated from Jesus, transfiguring before his disciples on the mountaintop. What would it have been like to have witnessed that glory? We shall find out when Christ calls us to eternal life." Read more about Transfiguration Sunday from Pastor Dolan on page one of the newsletter.

Ash Wednesday Worship

"Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the 40 days of Lent. Lent hints of spring, a time when the earth begins to awaken from a winter’s nap, and new growth bursts forth all about us. More personally, it is an opportunity to enter into a springtime for our spirit. For centuries Christians have used the 40 days of Lent to seek spiritual growth. Sincere repentance, a changing of heart, casting off old sinful practices and seeking to commune with our creator help us go in the right direction."
